28 Jul 2025

Welcome to the new Finding Your Way series of books for children, written by Kay Brophy. There are six books in the series focusing on the core human emotions of sadness, fear, anger, disgust, surprise and happiness.

In each book we are introduced to a character struggling to understand their emotions as they journey through 'Lifeland' – a magical place where the six BIG feelings of sadness, fear, happiness, anger, disgust and surprise are waiting to be explored. Helping them along their way are their friends and confidants and so the magical adventure begins, brought to life by fantastic illustration by Katy Boys.

Kay has worked in educational and NHS settings for over 20 years, helping children and families build emotional resilience, foster empathy and nurture positive mental health. Her aim is to help educate children about emotions in a fun and creative way.  Each book includes excellent professional guidance notes for parents, carers and teachers.
